Dear Colleagues,

As my one-year anniversary at Stanford Health Care rapidly approaches, I find myself humbled and grateful to serve among such tremendous nurse leaders and interprofessional colleagues.  I have been amazed the intellectual talent we have within this institution—it’s some of the brightest in the industry.

This is an exciting time to be at Stanford Health Care as we prepare our transition to 500P and 300P reset, as well as align our strategic plan with both Stanford Children’s and Stanford Medicine.  Together we become an even greater force for good in our community, as well as the greater world around us.

We look forward to the coming year ahead and beyond.  Through our Shared Leadership Council structure and daily care delivery, our nurses and interprofessional colleagues drive our strategic plan forward, particularly in areas such as workforce development, service, safety, and quality care. Achieving excellence throughout all areas of nursing is what makes us a Magnet® healthcare system.

In the past year, our nurses achieved outstanding patient outcomes, innovated new practices, led groundbreaking research, and continued advancing the professional practice of nursing

I’m proud of all that our nurses have achieved in the past year. It is because of the daily contributions and excellent leadership of our nurses that we are able to advance the profession of nursing and transform the lives of our patients each and every day.

Warm Regards,

Dale Beatty, DNP, RN, NEA-BC
